About
Claire started her career in 2009 at a UGC media company in London before strategizing and launching Places I Eat, a food and culture magazine. She taught herself marketing, PR, and advertising strategies to reach 25,000 monthly readers. It ran from 2010-2015.
During this time, she also produced a weekly culture column for the Brighton & Hove Independent, wrote copy for restaurant websites, contributed music reviews to print magazines, and hosted a radio show for a local broadcaster.
After winding down Places, Claire joined Crunch, the UK’s leading B2B SaaS accounting company. She was a key member of a four-person content and brand team dedicated to growing the Crunch Blog as the go-to educational resource for small- to medium-sized business owners and self-employed professionals
She transformed complex tax and business management topics into easy-to-understand blog posts, video content, whitepapers, e-books, templates, tools, and guides. Claire also ghostwrote CEO thought-leadership for the UK press, including The Guardian and The Independent, helping the company increase revenue by 40% YOY.
Claire continued to work remotely from Canada for Crunch throughout 2016 and 2017 before joining Method and Metric, a Vancouver SEO agency.
Here, she strategized and executed on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, performed content audits, developed content marketing strategies, and provided copywriting and content writing for multiple B2B and B2C accounts.
As the first employee, this work helped scale the company over a two-year period from a handful of local retainers to over 20 international accounts.
In 2019, she joined Quietly, a boutique content marketing agency, as a content manager for enterprise technology companies, including Okta, Slack, and Unbounce. She was part of the team that won a 2019 Content Marketing Institute (CMI) award for Best Use of Whitepapers.
